作者簡介 卡蘿‧希倫布蘭德Carole Hillenbrand 英國愛丁堡大學伊斯蘭史榮譽退休教授、聖安德魯大學伊斯蘭研究教授。她是英國中東研究學會副主席，是首位獲得費瑟國王獎伊斯蘭研究獎的非穆斯林，並榮獲大英帝國二〇〇九年新年受勳名單中的高等教育貢獻獎。研究專長包含十字軍、塞爾柱帝國和中世紀穆斯林的政治思想。 譯者簡介 何修瑜 台灣大學歷史系學士，紐約理工學院傳播藝術碩士。自從十歲看了《簡愛》之後就立志成為譯者，長大後如願以償。譯有《鄂圖曼帝國的殞落》、《西敏寺的故事》等十餘本書。
